Your first 10 minutes: from your file to your real return
There is nothing to set up. With the transactions file from your broker or exchange, or a single trade entered by hand, Kore. already shows you how much you actually earned. Here are the steps, in order.
1. Look at an example (1 minute)
If you would rather look before loading your own data, the landing page has a button that opens a sample portfolio. It asks for no account and no email.
2. Download your broker's file
Almost every broker and exchange lets you export your activity as CSV or Excel. Look in the history, transactions or reports section. Kore. does not ask for passwords or API keys: only that file.
3. Upload it (3 minutes)
- Create your free account. When you get in, the portfolio is empty and two buttons appear: Import file and Add a trade.
- Press Import file and drop the file.
- If Kore. recognises the format, it goes straight to a preview. If not, it asks you once which column is which. There is also a template (Kore Standard Template) you can fill in yourself.
- In the preview, Kore. flags duplicates and errors before saving anything. Check it and confirm.
If you would rather start small, Add a trade enters one trade by hand.
New accounts start with 14 days of Pro, with no position limit. After that, the free plan keeps your full history and tracks up to 10 open positions at a time: if a file would leave more than that open, Kore. tells you and saves nothing. Pro has no limit.
4. See your number (2 minutes)
Open the Dashboard. In the cards at the top you will find your portfolio's total value and, next to the gain, your XIRR: the annual return that accounts for when you put each amount of money in. Everything is compared in dollars. If you enter a foreign-currency trade by hand, Kore. fills in the exchange rate for that date; if you import it, Kore. uses the one in your file and warns you in the preview when it is missing.
5. Look inside one position (2 minutes)
In the Screener, or by searching a ticker with Ctrl+K, you can open any position: its price, your average cost and the history of your trades.
Try it in Kore
It is free to start, and you can see a demo without creating an account.
